Stories are the most powerful way to dismantle fear and build relationships. And in a time of increased anti-Muslim prejudice, we need them now more than ever.
My Bridge Story offers ordinary people from diverse backgrounds the opportunity to tell their own stories about Islamophobia and to hear those of others. It features first-person perspectives from Muslims, but also highlights the stories of allies who have experienced prejudice, witnessed it, or want to do something about it. Here you’ll find tales of hardship
and prejudice, but also stories of hope, courage, and friendship.
My Bridge Story’s personal view of Islamophobia is an important complement to the research and educational work of the Bridge Initiative. Together, stories and education can help us build the bridges that will help end Islamophobia.
